As for a weapon i just bought a Totem Axe at Ventari's Refuge for 10k
slash dmg 6-28 req 9 axe mastery
armor penetration 20% (chance 20%)
enchantments last 20% longer
energy +5

Thanks for the great guide. With the introduction of the totem axe, and it being cheaper than a 20% axe grip of enchanting, would it be a wiser weapon to use?

id say go with the fiery flame spitter of enchanting. even though it costs a lot more, you can make the money back pretty fast soloing bosses for greens or farming.
You could buy BOTH and use both which is what I would do. use ffs of enchanting to cast sb, soj, or any other skill like then switch to totem axe for the +5 energy.
if you can get your hands on a 15% ffs (nerfed to 10% currently)thats even better.

Thanks for the help once again!
How much do you think an un-nerfed one would cost?

OMG, this really worked great for me. A few tries and mistakes into it and ull get the hang of it. Thumbs up for the guide. The only thing that really bother me throughout the whole thing was just getting in there. I would usually cast PS,breeze, and Sb. Afterwards i would aggro bout 2 of the 4 groups in the beginnin area and get up to 2 nightmares max. The onli hard part is tryin to wand them and at the same time keep my PS and breeze up while not gettin interrupted. I kno my Sb is up but it scares me to c those nightmares so i want to kill them asap. However, while I'm concentratin on them my enchantments run low and I sometimes don't hav enough time to cast them. Any suggestions???

Guide Kudos + Tat Armor Alternative
First and foremost, sweet guide. I'm a newb 55, and I used a different guide to actually get started, but this one is pretty well-done.
Tattoo Armor Stuff!
I... hate... the tattoo armor. It's just plain ugly to me, and I didn't want to put about 15-20k worth of runes on something I didn't even like the look of. But! God be praised, there is an alternative: Canthan armor!
If you've got factions, you can make a quick trip over to The Land of 3000-EXP Quests to pick up a set of +energy armor in any of the Canthan styles. Energy gain is the same as tattoo armor. Since it doesn't matter how strong your armor is--you're just going to be taking ~5dmg anyway--I'd suggest saving cash and picking up a set from the Shing Jea Monastary. You can access docks from The Marketplace, and a ship will take you to the island... then you can run yourself to the monstary.

What let me guess you're one of those that thinks 55's dead. Just so you know, theres still tons of places 55 build works.

I spent 5 k the last time America had favor and could not wand a dying nightmare fast enough...I did have the opportunity to pull the aaxtes down the stairs and then go get the nighmare...
Still this in not terribly good in areas that have enchant removal.

thats cuz Rend Enchantments is now a 1 sec cast making UW 55 monk without Spellbreaker almost useless unless you have a hard res on the necro. If 55ing is what you like to do then bring Spellbreaker.
good luck
